Job Description

Review customer ledgers regularly for follow-up with Zonal credit controllers for chasing collection of outstandings. Such reviews have to done in the light of Minimum purchase commitments by customers for purchase of consummables;
Review orders from NEW customer and evaluate their financial credibility by referring to KYC accompanying the order;
Review orders from EXISTING customers and ascertain overdues, if any. Ensure that commitments are taken from Zonal sales managers/Divisional heads for recovery of overdues before authorizing such new orders;
Strengthen collection procedures by sending outstanding reminder letters;
Analyse overdue accounts and review the same with credit control team for recovery;
Evaluate applying penalties on erring customers and issue debit notes;
Ensure that PDCs received from customers are updated in the system;
Ensure that PDCs against orders are deposited by CFAs on time;
Establish a systematic approach to issuing outstanding statements, sending reminder letters (which gradually become firm) and visit sticky customers;
Ensure all accounting entries for collection are done on a timely basis and bank reconciliation is completed latest by the 5th of next month;
Automate most of process developments in the system and ensure minimum dependence of manual efforts;
